Some of ESDA’s family members were recently invited to partake in the Ekurhuleni District Trials. The Trials were gruelling, not only due to the long hours, but due to the fact that we had no other option of playing trials over 3 weekends with the GDF Calendar being so full this year.
But our family members showed up and played the best games they possibly could on the 4 different days.
ESDA Ladies:
Maryna Badenhorst, Moira Cronje, Jen Bennett, Thea Joubert, Lynette Kruger and Delian Bennett attended to the Trials, with Thea, Lynette and Delian unfortunately just falling short of the criteria.
ESDA Men:
Hugo Deysel, Wayne Ellis, Chipoyera Tinashe, Jason Crook, Vaughn Brendon Smith, Vincent Van Wyk, Brad Blume and Walther Harris attended to the Trials, with Vincent, Brad and Walther unfortunately also just falling short of the criteria.
ESDA would like to congratulate the following family members who made the Ekurhuleni District Team and who will be representing District at the upcoming DSA National Tournament 2023:
EDSA DISTRICT TEAM MEMBERS:
Maryna Badenhorst
Moira Cronje
Jen Bennett (Reserve)
Hugo Deysel (Captain)
Wayne Ellis
Tinashe Chipoyera
Jason Crook
Vaughn Smith (Reserve)
Well done on your achievements, we are exceptionally proud of you all and we know that you will hold the District’s flag and name as high and proud as you do The Blue Machine Family’s.
A special mention has to be made of two of The ESDA Blue Machine Family members for their exceptional achievement during trials. Both Maryna Badenhorst and Hugo Deysel ended up 1st on the log standing at the conclusion of the trials. Well done to the two of you!! ESDA is extremely proud of this bragging right
