After unfortunate technical issues and a late start at the recent PNDA Open held at Dinwiddie Sports Club, the ESDA Blue Machine Family still managed to fly our flag extremely high. It was yet another long and gruelling day for some of the members of our family, but yet, we had some fantastic results.
Our members who attended and their results are as follows:
Delian Bennett and Jen Bennett unfortunately could not progress past the Block Section.
Sally J'arlette-joy managed to throw her way through all the way to Top 16 and throwing a couple of 140's along the way.
Pie Badenhorst, Chipoyera Tinashe and Jacques Botha made it through the Block Section and made it to the Top 64, where unfortunately their journeys came to an end.
Alfred Ungerer, Brad Blume and Rajesh Ramnund made it a little further by reaching the Top 32, where Raj was taken out by fellow teammate, Wayne. There is no love lots in this game, now is there?
Bradley Gertenbach reached the Top 16 but unfortunately also having his journey come to an end.
Wayne Ellis had a good run and making us proud in taking the 3rd place again!!🥉🎯 Well done Wayne, that win is inching closer and closer for you.
Hugo Deysel went on to win the Open by beating Danie in the finals 4-1 where he managed to obtain a 150 closure. Well done Hugo, you make us all proud🥇🏆
The 180's alluded us this weekend with Brad Blume ending up having thrown the solitary 180 this weekend! Well done Brad!!
Now we are saving the best for last as we as the Seniors members of ESDA are so incredibly proud of our Juniors. There were 20 Juniors who entered the Open and from those, Nakita de Lange managed to end off 5th overall🏅 and Tienie Marais managed to take 3rd Place!🥉🏆 Well done to the both of you, we have all the faith in the world in you and you have shown us this weekend just what you are capable of. Keep up the hard work and practise and you both will have bright futures in this sport.👏👏👏🎯
Thank you again to everyone who attended and represented our Blue Machine Family. Thank you for the support you give one another even after falling out of the Open. We as ESDA are proud of your achievements, sportsmanship and your representation of our family.
